A Bluegrass Adventure At The Station Inn
It was a cold snowy Friday night in Nashville. As a longtime bluegrass fan, my Father wanted to visit The Station Inn to see a live show. I’m not a gluegrass fan but that didn’t stop me from going. When I was a kid, bluegrass music sounded like a bunch of dumb hillbillies playing on homemade instruments with terrible twanging vocal sounds.
Well, 29 years later, it still sounds the same but after seeing a bluegrass band in person I can appreciate the music much more. It really doesn’t matter what they’re saying or what notes you’re hearing when you see a band playing live that’s really into their music. That night, the emotions and the sweat poured out of the band members and everyone in attendance was cheering for the music. Watching my Dad’s eyes light up and seeing his feet tap the floor to the beat along with all the grand excitement in the room truly made the night memorable.
