Dumaguete to Cebu by Bus

If you are looking for a way to get from Dumaguete to Cebu or vice-versa then I’d highly recommend taking the Ceres Liner (full sized air-conditioned bus) for the 4 hour trip over taking the Oceanjet “fast ferry”.
For one, you still get a 30 minute boat ride out of the transportation but better yet, the bus will give you a great overview of the island of Cebu on the way up to the city. Also, if you’re on a budget, the trip is less than 200 pesos ($4 USD) vs. 900 pesos ($19 USD) on Oceanjet!
Not much else to report for now. Look for more soon from Boracay!

Hey, nice to see you visited Dumaguete on your travels. Post is a bit dated now though. Ceres from the south bus terminal in Cebu City direct to Dumaguete is 5 hours and just under P300. You can stop and get the fast craft to Sibulan but then you have to pay for a pedi cab if you can get one and see what they charge you. Cheaper and easier to go direct. Now there are two shipping lines from Cebu to Negros so you can get a promo rate, got to love competition
Hope this helps !
